Dear 4th District friend,
Another election day is coming up this November and such high profile races as President, Congress, or Governor are not even on the ballot. There is, however, one race that will have a deep impact on your taxes & quality of life - City County Council.
As a former member of the Indianapolis City County Council I see how the policies decided on the council affect your everyday life. That is why I am excited to cast my vote for Christine Scales.
Christine Scales is completing her 1st term as your City-County Councillor. She has proven herself to be a true friend of the taxpayer, and a person of high integrity. Christine has compiled an impressive record of voting against tax increases and wasteful spending, and has been a leader in building a strong police force.
What impresses me most, however, is her tremendous work ethic. As a former 2 term City County Councillor I can honestly say she serves you better than any elected official I have ever seen, spending countless hours on your behalf. When an issue came up that needed State involvement Christine would routinely e-mail me in the wee hours of the morning. ‘When do you sleep?” I asked her.
And how about our new smooth roads! Christine single handily fought for the re-surfacing of many of the key roads in the district, and she is in the midst of expanding sidewalks and bike paths..
Many of you know Christine already. She regularly attends neighborhood meetings to learn more about resident’s issues of concern. She makes herself available to meet with constituents at coffee shops or makes personal visits to homes in order to better understand a problem that needs addressing. She is even known to attend to needs of residents outside her District when calls to their own Councillors have been ignored.
Please join me in making sure that District 4 has the best possible representation – let’s vote for
Christine Scales on November 8th.
Sincerely,
Scott Schneider
Senator, State of Indiana, District 30
