Christine Scales District 4 letter to constituents

Dear Friends,

During my tenure as a City County Councillor, I have vigorously pursued successful solutions to problems facing constituents. District 4 residents have come to know that they have a strong advocate working on their behalf. In the past year, I have received recognition for my service to the community by such organizations as The Greater Allisonville Community Council, The Coalition of Northeast Neighborhoods, and was named a 2009 Forest Manor Multi Service Center Champion Award winner.

When it has come to voting on issues of critical importance to the city and its future, I spend countless hours researching the likelihood of promised benefits and unearthing possible negative consequences of a proposal. I consult with community and business leaders, experts on the issue at hand, and seek constructive input from residents of the district. It is only after questions have been answered, research completed and analyzed that how I will vote on a matter is decided. I have sometimes had to resist political party pressure to vote a particular way and instead, vote my conscience in doing what I believe best for the community as a whole.

It is because of overwhelmingly positive response to my service on Council, that I have recently decided to seek re-election. I have devised a fiscally conservative campaign budget designed to pay for mailers, yard signs and incidentals. I will greatly depend on the willing hands and feet of volunteers to help get out the “Scales for Council” vote.

Thank you in advance for any support you might provide.

Sincerely,

Christine
